BLACKRAPID is a company that designs and manufactures camera slings. The company was founded by professional photographer and inventor — Ron Henry in 2007.

The original camera sling was created as a solution to the traditional camera strap, which Henry found to be cumbersome and uncomfortable. The sling design allows photographers to carry their cameras on their shoulders, with the camera hanging upside down and ready for quick access.

The first BLACKRAPID camera sling, the R-Strap, was released in 2008 and has since been updated and improved with new features and designs. The company has also expanded its product line to include other camera-carrying solutions and devices.
