Unit Still Photography
At 13 I picked up a camera and 17 years later it has completely shaped my life. From the Bay Area I started out photographing concerts which then switched over to Unit Stills in the film industry. Now residing in LA, I am one of newest members in IATSE Local 600. If I’m not on set, I am usually outdoors with friends capturing our adventures on 35mm.
Do you have a good photo tip for us?
Just keep shooting. Don’t be afraid to be bad at first, everyone usually is. Just keep shooting until you find your style and try not to follow trends. Stay true to yourself.
Want to go to the Grand Canyon for National Geographic?
I was home and got an email that asked if I was free to fly to the Grand Canyon for work in a few days. I had to read it twice to make sure I read it right the first time. Next thing I knew I am on the quickest work trip of my life and on a project for National Geographic. I will never forget being surround by the secret service as Jill Biden appeared and I was there to photograph this moment for National Geographic.
It’s cool to see where my career takes me, and I am super appreciative to the people who hire me for stuff like this.
