Bio
I began my photo career as an aspiring cinematographer shooting two feature films and various shorts in the late 90’s. Adjusting my career, I decided to pursue my first love… still photography. Armed with a small Canon Rangerfinder, I began to photograph whatever I could… After a brief stint at a photo studio in New York where I learned from a veteran photographer, I began shooting many local bands and studio musicians along with industry events in 2000. In 2005 I began working for 5 years at Technicolor in NY, extensively learning film and digital post production color techniques. Through the years, I have photographed live performances of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Rush, Alice in Chains, Kiss, Phil Collins, and solo artists like Billy Joel, Elvis Costello, Jennifer Lopez, Bon Jovi among many others. I continue to build a very versatile portfolio ranging from fashion to music to personal black and whites and color Holga images.
I also have taken portraits of celebrities, entertainers & bands and work in my own studio space in Brooklyn NY. Im currently the house photographer for the Manhattan Center / Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC and was the first house photographer for the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. I have also worked on several feature films and TV shows as a Unit Photographer In 2015 and have worked closely with CBS on several of their shows.
I was hired as the official Live Design International (LDI) show photographer in Las Vegas as well as the United States Institute of Theatre Technology for three consecutive years (St Louis, Louisville, Ft Lauderdale) and I continue to work closely with Lighting Designers and other Event & Industry Creatives.
