Photographer Julie Smith of Ireland recently won the Kevin Hennessy Photography World Cup. Congrats!!
The Kevin Hennessy Photography World Cup was the brainchild of photographer Kevin Hennessy. It was a very clever idea to get photographers to create images during this time of restrictions on movement.
It combined creative, experienced, and novice photographers, working to create the wow factor in their photography so the images could appeal to an anonymous voting public.
Two photographers were drawn at random to go head to head in a bracket. A random selected theme would then be given to get the photographers’ creative brains working. Thosee photographers would have 24 hrs to capture and deliver a photograph to hopefully beat their opposition and see them into the next round.
Ultimately the final was a very, very close one. There was almost nothing between the 2 rivals, but there could only be one winner. (#khisolationphotochallenge)
Congrats to Julie for winning this world cup competition! We love the creativity, the constant challenge to create something new, and know it must have been incredible to win the bracket so many times in order to win the cup. Way to go!
